Awwwwwwww Sugar Foot...!! (AE#6)

Ohhhh boyy I have come to realize that I have not done my blogging #6. So harsh and forgetful of me. It was very nice blogging with you all. Especially the ones who commented on my blog entries. It was an honor just to read your comments. Blogging really is not my thing at all, but it's cool. For the most part I experienced something new. Blogging is one unique tool on the internet for this generation and more, maybe we will hear from new people that come forth. I hope to see you soon bloggers but for now.................IM OUT..!!

Identity (SG#5)

I am a prime example of a change when it comes to media today. Such as in the music industry. I use to be this big bully. (yeah I know, How can she be a bully as small as she is? -The bigger you are the harder you fall- is what I was taught growing up in a bad environment), but that's besides the point. I would listen to that hard core rap music, the underground rappers and the thugged out music labels and everything. As soon as I left my home town my life changed and I found myself wanting to be wit God. I found myself wanted to make a change. I started praying for better days and look what happened. Now I resign in Arizona, and I'm surrounded by loving kind no drama life people. Yes I still have fun and chill but I am now fully aware that I am a child of God and always will be no matter what anybody has to say. Uploaded here is a video of me ministering to my church on youth Sunday. We also had a conference that day too. I love my church family. Listening to Gospel music and praying in a dark cold (at times) room, by myself made me who I am and made me one more step closer to the man above. So music to me has changed my life for the good. It had some type of power I'd admit to it. Please watch and feel free to comment.

The Power of the Media (AE#5)

The main media that I feel that may have some sort of power of people today is music and the way it is presented to our generation today. Talking about the medium in class this week has not made me think of medium more than I have ever thought about it before. I say this because I always think about, if they news wasn't around where would we be? If music wasn't around, what would we sing? If technology wasn't around, who would we entertain? It's really funny how I do believe at times that the medium can have such power of any generation today. Whether it is within the rap music, the gospel music, the reggae music, television, movies, games etc. you name it. It has some sort of power., but only to a certain extent though. Only if you allow it to move in your life, will it have that type of power? Music has been around for a while now and so has technology so without it is like DANGER for us. The media was made up to give feedback, to give encouragement, to prepare people for the good and the bad, to also aware people of the knowledge of the highly spoken wisdom that was passed down from old time generations. The medium is very important in our lives today, HANDS DOWN. Being the fact that in this class we are touching bases with it, it doesn't make me feel or think differently, highly,  or poorly about the medium. I still feel the same. As long as I have my music, my life is complete.

Death in a Home (SG#4)

Death.....What is it?
A Home....Where you stay a bit.
Death.....Who gives it?
A Home.....A blessing well lifted.
Death.....When is it?
A Home...When he says, "soldiers it's time to sit but not quit it."
Death....Why is it?
A Home...Because its welly fitted.
Death...How is it?
A Home....You'll never know until God says you're truly finished.

Taking in what's been going on in my life and watching this film, Michael Moore’s film Capitalism: A Love Story, it really had me thinking to myself about my life and my families life and the way they're living. Death is a true meaning of the truth, while we are living in this place of life where all we get is whole bunch of lies. People come into your life for a season some may even come for a reason, but in the end Life Goes On.

Home Wrecking Movies (AE#4)

After watching Michael Moore’s film Capitalism: A Love Story, in class, it kind of touched me a little. Being that the fact that me and my family are one big helping family. Just seeing people get treated the way the did in this film hurted my feelings. I have a big heart for strangers as well. I was always taught, "if you got it, give it. If not help get it to give it." -Samuel Mayes Jr. & Stephanie McKinnon- In this film people were getting put out of there own homes. People were basically getting robbed right under their noses from the banks and the government. It was super horrible. In some parts of the film I had to block it out or I would have really gotten emotional. To me I felt that, even though the film was based on true life events. Nobody should be treated that way, shape, or form. I feel that if you have a job that way you should get rid of it. It shouldn't be a job where others are putting other down or out of their homes at all. I mean think about it......If you had that type of job....and it just so happens to be your turn to get told to leave a home where you resigned for years after years. How would you feel? Plus not have anywhere else to go. We weren't told that we had to leave our homes before. Not that I know of so far, but I do know that my grandmothers owned their homes. Full out THEIRS. If someone told my grandmother that she had to leave her home that she and her husband put sooooooo much work into. Ohhhhh trust and believe me, the little attitudes or the little upset people in this film, would not do anything compared to the temper of our family. We would have fought to the end. People in this film didn't have back-ups or anyone/anything to run to. This film was hard to take in but God knows what's going on in this world and he don't like ugly.

ASU AE#3

Beings that I am a student who would like to join ASU later on in my young adult years. I would say that the new season/semesters that they are trying to bring in, is a wonderful idea for me. Only to a certain extent. I'm a student all about the education, no matter what or how long it takes. I believe that those with the best education is those who will end up to make it further in life than a normal person/student. I'm not one of who would like to be study off campus. I believe in getting up and going to school. I can't or never forced myself to learn from an online website. Finishing up school early with lower tuition, Ohhhh Yeaaahhh I'm down. I tried to comment on the Arizona State University page about this situation but it wont let me! =( The only reason I say I would be glad to join this change is because that just puts more money in my pocket and gives me more times with my family. I'm a chilled type of girl . I love to sit and play with my family and after a long days of work. It feels like I accomplished something. Ya know? ASU here I come, only because I feel I can save money with this deal you're setting forth. BUTTTT I would not like the idea of doing my schooling online. Once again I' am not a fan of that..AT ALL. If anyone feels like I maybe misunderstood this concept please enlighten me on what I am missing.
